Hi Paul,

very good news Opie development finally finds it's way into Angstrom
distribution!

So far I've downloaded
 * Angstrom-opie-image-glibc-ipk-2007.12-r2-h2200.rootfs.tar.gz
and installed it on the SD card of my my h2200. As by now all went well except
the bug in the FileManager that still exists. You surely remember that I
complained about no being able to copy files in the FM on the
opie_at_handhelds.org mailing list and after all, you found the reason:

------------- snip --------------------------------

Right, I found the problem. The copy code was using the sendfile() function
which apparently does not behave the same way under the 2.6 kernel as it did
in 2.4. This explains why it worked on my h3970 (which is 2.4-based) and not
on the h2210.

I have checked this fix into CVS so I would suggest just increasing your
OPIE_SRCDATE (see conf/distro/include/preferred-opie-versions-1.2.4-pre.inc).
Alternatively you can hack up the patch I provide below as a temporary
workaround.

If anyone is building 1.2.3 (as opposed to latest CVS) using OE or apply this
patch to get the fix:

http://handhelds.org/~paule/files/advancedfm-fix-file-copy-oe.patch
------------- snip --------------------------------

It'll be great if you could apply this patch into the 1.2.3 branch too.

Rest of the things I've tested (Applications, Battery Applet, LEDs, Bluetooth,
Suspend, Touch Screen) are working very well.

Thank you for all your efforts.

Gerhard
