Ahh that did git rid of all the messages, but i don't seem to have a login.
Wait, I just fixed the problem

from /etc/inittab, was ...
#T0:45:respawn:/sbin/getty -L ttySA0 115200 vt100
#pd:23:respawn:/usr/sbin/pppd /dev/ttySA0 -detach

changed to ...
T0:23:respawn:/sbin/getty -L ttySA0 115200 vt100
pd:45:respawn:/usr/sbin/pppd /dev/ttySA0 -detach

don't know if this is a side effect from installing opie or not.
