Intellisync on IPAQ

Hello everyone. I am a registered "owner" of Intellisync both
for my palm and my pocketPC. Now, obviously those two licenses
are for PalmOS and winCE respectively. I cannot download
Intellisync for opie from PumaSoft, and calling them on the
phone, they were unaware that "Intellisync for SL" even existed.

This URL has the Intellisync for SL as a download:

http://more.sbc.co.jp/slj/download/binary/IS_update.zip

I saw the link to it on another website. Sure enough, it is the
intellisync for SL software. I tried installing it on windows
and having it talk to my IPAQ with opie installed, but it comes
up and says I am running the wrong version of my software.

I did a little checking with some sample daemons, and discovered
that the communication goes about like this (where Inte is
Intellisync and IPAQ is the response from the IPAQ):

Inte: USER root
IPAQ: 331 User name ok, need password
Inte: PASS rootme
IPAQ: 230 User logged in, proceed
Inte: CALL QPE/Application/Applications flush()
IPAQ: 599 ChannelNotRegistered QPE/Application/Applications
Inte: CALL QPE/System sendHandshakeInfo()
IPAQ: 200 Command okay
IPAQ: CALL QPE/Desktop handshakeInfo(QString,bool) /home/root 0
Inte: CALL QPE/System mkdir(QString) /home/root/Applications
IPAQ: 200 Command okay

By default, it appears that in /etc/init.d/qpe the code
hardwires $PATH to end up being /root. I had to change that to
get it to respond as /home/root, which is what someone said the
Zaurus responds with.

The IPAQ has a qcop response banner of:

220 Qtopia QCop bridge ready!

Whereas the Zaurus responds:

220 Qt Palmtop QCop bridge ready!

I am going to see if that is why Intellisync doesn't like the
IPAQ or not.

Has anyone given this a shot? Am I the only one trying to sync
my IPAQ to Outlook?

-Verxion
