Hello all,
I am at my wits end.........
I have no problems getting the PPP to work between my Familiar/Opie iPaq and my R-H Linux 7.2 (Gateway Solo9300), but I need to sync with Outlook on my W2KAS box (Same notebook, different partition)
To accomplish this I have tried following the wiki(s) for getting a PPP connection established between my W2KAS box (Gateway Solo9300)and familiar/Opie (iPaq 3835 with familiar 2.4.18-rmk3 and newest Opie[0.9/1.5]) for two weeks now and I cannot get the damn dial-up networking to connect. So I decided to try the USB connection.
Following the notes in the wiki and the mailing list I installed the SL driver. Everything looked fine. Then I rebooted to start the driver. Following the reboot, my USB port is not working. After looking at the Hardware Manager, the device is reporting an error code #10 (device couldn't start). The hub and controller are fine, but the USB driver itself is not.
I then tried reinstalling the USB driver. Each time I try to reinstall, I get a message indicating a newer driver has been found, and I never get an option to select a different driver to install.
Is there some !@#$%^&*() trick to getting the USB driver to work with the iPaq cradle? Or at least to getting a different driver re-installed?
