Unfortunately the h3900's troubles with SD cards is known but unsolved:

Your best chance at getting this working is to use the workarounds in
the bug (but even they have limitations). The h3900 is supposedly
suported by the hh.org 2.6 kernel. But I don't know if there are any
distro images that include that kernel.
