The Blackdown JRE is extremely huge and imho not suitable for everyday usage.
There are smaller alternatives for embedded devices- Acunias Wonka, Kaffe,
IBMs J9, etc.
All those have one thing in common: They won't show graphical user interfaces
as no qt-awt binding is yet available.
