hehehe, well, I may as well chime in on this massive cross post..

The thing is, most pda users dont give a rats ass about what system it runs,
or whats windowing system it runs, they just want it to work, they want to
keep their appointments on it, keep reminders, addresses and other business
type things. They want the programs to be finished usable products. If those
needs are met, they are happy.

That said, I think _linux_ pda users (ones who care what system it runs) need
to have a variety of choices, certainly X on a pda is one of them, and qtopia
and X could very well be made to play better together.

A problem I hear about with someone trying X and qtopia (opie) together.. is
apm handling, as qpe 'disables' /dev/apm_bios, and leaves it that way. Not
sure what effect this has on X.
