Glitch with microdrive and mpeg(tkc) player

Hi,

When I use mpegplayer (or tkc player) with my 340 MB microdrive
(original version) the songs periodically (frequently) glitch/skip as
though the microdrive is not able to keep up. I have a 256 MB CF card
that gives me the same problems whether formatted for ext2 or vfat
(occurs every 13 or 14 sec when playing ogg files). However, a Lexar 40
MB card (4X) works without problems, as does copying files to /tmp and
playing them there.

I have an ipaq with familiar 5.1 on it and OPIE. Any ideas? When I get
around to upgrading to familiar 5.2, I'll try it under x-windows to see
if it is a familiar or opie issue for my ipaq.

Any ideas?

thanks, matthew
