as you said, the lirc problem is a problem w/ the lirc ipkg, not the opie
package. Howerver, both on my site, and on the opieRemote wiki page from the
opieApps page explain how to get around this. the fix is to install
lirc-modules-[kernel version], and then install lirc w/ the -force-depends
option. opie-remote should install just fine after that...
