you need to install the qt-embedded-rotation ipkg. it should be in your opie
feed. A quick explanation:

the 38xx series of ipaq's have their screens in upside down from the ones in
the other ipaq's and in the Zaurus. So, normally, opie would display
upside-down. to fix this, the qpe script now detects the hardware that is
being used, and sets the rotation appropriately before opie is run. The
problem with this is that if things are rotated, QT needs font files that are
also rotated for them to display correctly. the qt-embedded-rotation ipkg
contains these necessary fonts.
