Strange "bug" whith textedit and filebrowser

Hi,

Just discovered a strange problem. Maybe someone can try to reproduce.
Whenever I use the "view as text" command of the filebrowser on a file
without mime type e.g. x.conf and the first char in this file is "["
textedit shows an empty file and overwrites the file with an empty one :-(

It works when the same file is opened with textedit -f x.conf
and it also works when the file is a mime type e.g. x.txt and it also
works when the first char is not a "["
It is 100% reproduceable .
