Tagging right now.

I have a raft a patches that I would like to start committing for the
next release. Would people prefer if I held off for a bit, branched
1.2.3 or something else? Either way, I would like to know what the group
thinks about when development for the next release can commence. I am
sure some of us are itching to get going.
