The Freeze (for 1.2.3)

We are now in our second week of freeze. I just committed the patch
attached to bug 1839. So we have only 3 bugs left. Since Paul E. may
concede removal of 743 from the 1.2.3 release if fixes for the IrDA bug
show up that means we really only have two release critical bugs. We are
very close.

If you have any influence over distribution builders or are a packager
yourself, feel free to start the process of getting testing packages
out. We would love the feedback before we release.
