Summary: Auto-suspend fails when security plugins are active
Description:
Hi everyone!

Sometimes, my iPAQ 3900 turns on when it is in my bag, probably when
something
hits the somewhat exposed power button. This should be no problem since I
have
set auto-suspend to three minutes, but when I have the security plugins
(notice,
then pin) active, it won't suspend until I have passed authentication.
This
means that the battery is usually empty until I discover the error, so
that I
can't use the PDA until I get to the power supply.

The same error appears also when an alarm (clock/appointment) is
triggered:
Before authentication, the alarm is not even displayed and auto-suspend
is
disabled. If I am not in reach of the PDA, this is just as critical.

Possible solution:
1. Allow auto-suspend to trigger during the authentication phase
2. Display alarm windows above the authentication window.

Thanks for your efforts!
Benjamin

Hmm, that is indeed annoying. The screen dims and even turns off, but it
won't suspend with the authentication screen showing. I also agree
regarding the alarm dialog - it should show in front.
