Summary: Opie does not stop charging the batteries.
Description:
Opie never stops to load the batteries.
Even if the ipaq gets very hot (nearly not touchable), the
battery led flashes (loading) on both, ipaq and extansion pack.

This does not happen with qpe 1.5.0.

This is in all cases not an opie bug even if it did not happen with qtopia
(which I personally doubt- neither qtopia nor OPIE have anything to do with
the charging of the device, this is a familiar or, more propable, a
hardware problem).

You might have an interrupt/resource problem with the xircom card which
affects the apm power daemon. I have symptoms with an ne2000 netgear
card.

Remove the card and try again- and upgrade familiar to the very latest
version.

report that to the bugzilla on handhelds.org and file it against the kernel

Sorry,

I tried it again. opie (stable feed) has the problem, while qpe (1.5.0)
does not have.

I only installed task-opie to test it. /root was empty.

Get the Xircom card out and in again and charging starts and does not
end.
Even a suspended ipaq charges ever. Reinstalled qpe (1.5.0) qpe-qipkg and
the charging starts after Xircom out, but stops after approx. 10 secs.

So even if it is a familiar problem, it only occurs with opie.
By the way, if the qpe task is stopped running opie, the charging
immediately
stops also. So what is this ?

Installed from the unstable feed this morning to test the problem
regarding the CPU usage snadman is working on.

Found out, that this problem is gone. Thanks to all. Opie is usable
now for me.

Anything but an OPIE issue
