Summary: PIM apps overwrite symlinks to CF card
Description:
I like to keep my main info on my CF card for safety, using symlinks. This
means "/root/Settings/Categories.xml",
"/root/Applications/addressbook/addressbook.xml",
"/root/Applications/datebook/datebook.xml", and
"/root/Applications/todolist/todolist.xml". However, whenever any of this
information is changed, the symlink is overwritten by an actual file. Can
this behaviour be changed so symlinks are respected? Thanks a lot, Cheers,
Tony.

The files are removed by the Applications. Therfore your links are removed,
too.
Why don't you just set the directories as symlinks ? This should work...

Excellent! I'll do just that, should be perfect. Thanks.

Can we consider this as resolved or is there an urgent need to fix it ?
