Summary: PIM apps should make periodic backups of their data
Description:
Hi,

running the latest OZ image 3.5.4.1 on collie.

It appears that the PIM apps only save their data upon normal exit of the
program. When they crash (see bug 1811) all changes are lost :-( I think
they should make periodic backups of their data while running.

I think this may well be improved by the SQL backend, since that should
write changes back to the database immediately.
