Summary: Creating new character model for character
recognizer takes a long time

after creating a new model in the character reocognizer and clicking 'ok'
the
iPAQ comes to a near freeze. After 2 to 3 minutes the ipaq finally exits

character recognizer.

It actually takes more along the lines fo 30-40 minutes for me to update my
handwriting preferences ( heavilly modified )

yup, i believe that this is caused by saving each char when you hit OK. it
saves each char from memory to the disc eventhough it doesnt need to. if
you have graffiti installed, it's going to take _FOREVER_ cus right now it
has a trillion repeat chars in the set.

what is needed is a table that represents the chars, and mark the modified
chars, and then only save those chars when you close the dialog.

this was actually caused by the graffiti charset. shared charsets are
supposed to have a flag set for each char saying that it shouldnt be saved
in the user's config file, but since it wasnt set, each time you save it
would save it again and again.... until your space was filled up.
