Summary: textedit looses files
Description:
Launch "textedit .signature", type something in, File|Save (no error),
press okay to close it, and no ".signature" file appears. Very wrong.

Aha, problem is that textedit is not willing to create new file. It
indicates strange filename in window title, but thats it. I believe it
should create the file.
