Summary: Screen Tap volumes intermittent
Description:
Some screen taps cause no sound and are very faint. If I keep taping and
area of screen ( i.e. Pim tab) I can raise the volume of the screen tap
signficantly. Rare cut-outs are heard that remind me of the cut-outs
experienced when playing a wav file with the mediaplayer (see crackling
sound bug report).
I have just reinstalled Familiar v0.6pre1 and a minimum of Opie apps (see
below) to see if this behavior had anything to do my attempts to get audio
working properly (mediaplayer).

This is known, but can not be resolved without using a sound server (like
esd) for all applications. However, it is planned to integrate a sound
server in the future.
