Summary: opie-mediaplayer-codecs_0.4_arm.ipk does not work
Description:
Hi,

I cannot install opie-mediaplayer-codecs from the unstable feed, (reports
null!). However downloading the ipkg and doing a local install also seems
to fail. When I run ipkg install it quickly returns to the command prompt
without any messages.

I guess the current mediaplayer2 needs this for libxine.1.so?

I found that the Packages file entry had no filename listed. Editing my
local copy of the Packages file and adding the filename fixed that. I also
discovered that opie-mediaplayer2 must now be called opie-mediaplayer.
(Also, Appearance2 became Appearance).

Hi thank you, that got opie-mediaplayer2 working :-) However I still have
problems with Appearance2 even after renaming it. BTW I found I did not
need to rename opie-mediaplayer2 the desktop link that calls opieplayer2
seems to work.

When I run appearence2 (renamed to appearence) I get :

/opt/QtPalmtop/bin # ./appearance

Any way thanks for getting me going with the codecs.
