Can you try this with the most recent version of Keypebble?
http://131.152.105.154/feeds/ipaq/unstable/opie-keypebble_0.9.1-20020909_arm.ipk.
Also, what version of the server, and what is the color depth of the
screen?

I cannot install the newer version: it does not show up in the GUI
Add/Remove programs, and if I try to use "ipkg install" from the command
line, it gives me the error in the attached screenshot. (terminal window:
"opie-base not found")

The original bit-depth was 16bpp. When I change to 256 colors, the screen
is simply blank. When I change to 24 bpp, I get the error in the second
attached screenshot (Read Error: QSocket reported ...)

The server version if WinVNC Version 3.3.3 R9. I have also tried it
against TightVNC Server version 1.2.4. Note that the different issues are
exactly the same against either of these two server versions: 256 colors ->
blank screen, 16bpp -> garbled screen, and 24bpp -> QSocket error.

Working off of the second screenshot, it looks like the ipk being built is
for the new version of ipkg ( incompatible with the sharp rom). Are you
using the Zaurus zone feed? If not, what feed are you using? I will look
into getting that feed updated with a new ipk. Upgrading will most likely
solve this problem for you, I haven't seen that problem since the keypebble
update on Sept. 4th.

I got opie-keypebble_0.9.1-20020825.arm.ipk from
http://opie.handhelds.org/feed/zaurus/, and I got
opie-keypebble_0.9.1-20020909_arm.ipk from
http://131.152.105.154/feeds/ipaq/unstable/.

I'll test it out as soon as an appropriate Sharp .ipk is available.

trke: ccady: Status of this ? Fixed or not ?

Somehow my last comment was lost. (Was a new version of Mantis
installed?)

I installed the OpenZaurus "ROM" and the 08/25 version failed, the same as
on the Sharp ROM, but the 09/09 version worked fine. I cannot test that it
works under the Sharp ROM, as the .ipk is not yet available, but I have no
reason to think that it will not work, as it does not seem to be
ROM-related.

Thank you for your hard work.
