Summary: when turning down the light, issues a modprobe
Description:
with options -t or -C.

Everytime OPIE tries to change the light level, that
command is issued but on the console it says
modprobe -t or -C argument not supported

The message sounds like a busybox modprobe message. Any idea what is
invoking modprobe?

Did this just show up in bootopie-v06-18? I added devfsd, and I did notice
some messages about -t and -C from devfsd.

I just modified devfsd and uploaded it to Familiar unstable and 0.6-rc1.
devfsd 1.3.25-3 does not pass -C to modprobe.

I am not sure.
I just installed the environment as distributed by the boostrap-opie jffs
image
Did not change anything. So i do not know about devfsd.

The release I installed is bootopie-v06-18.jffs2 Later I did an 'upgrade'
and saw
upgrades to hh21 but that is the kernel stuff I believe

I think the probe is related to light dimming. when the ligth is dimmed
because
of timeouts (as specified in light settings) i notice the message on the
console

The routine to set the light level tries to open /dev/ts or /dev/h3600_ts
-- whichever works ..
jamey: which should we use /dev/ts (seems to be an old dev), /dev/h3600_ts
or /dev/touchscreen/0 (does this one exist on 0.5.3) ?
