RE: BSD on iPAQ?

The NetBSD/i386 toolchain is quite old, but did work for the SA-110 board
that was the precursor to the iPaq. I used it in 1998 and 1999 to develop a
runtime environment used for a robotics contest held at MIT every year. It
should work quite well.

Robert, how is the bootloader going anyway? Any specific issues I can help
with? I can't find time to contribute code, but I can provide information
that you might not have on the iPaq hardware.

Good. The Netwinder should be the easier system to bring up.

You are going to need a NetBSD system in order to run a cross compiler.

There is a toolchain for NetBSD/i386 on ftp.handhelds.org, but I don't
know if anyone is using it.

I guess it would be a good idea to put the diffs in the netbsd area
on ftp.handhelds.org too. I can send them to you anyway.

I have been working mainly on the bootloader over the last week,
as I need it before I can start debugging the kernel.
