I have joined this list today.
I am looking to make a product based on a Ipaq running Linux.
What has led me to this decision is that in the past we have been using a card from Inhand called the ELF, we did a port of the Linux OS for this product and built a daughter card to provide the functionality we needed. After allot of problems I feel its best now to abort the concept and turn to the Ipaq.
Firstly I need to get my application running on a Ipaq running Linux and see if I can push the device to output fast enough, I assume so.
Second thing is I will need some customisation of the OS to allow for better realtime performace.
Third thing is I need someone to build me a interface to the Ipaq which will provide me
2 x 16bit DAC
6 x 8bit DAC
2 x RS485 port running at 250k
4 digital I/O lines.
