Ok, here's Montavista's SDIO stack: http://source.mvista.com/~dsingleton/sdio/
(apparently, they borrowed it from some company, as docs still have commerical
licencing clauses).
At the time of writing, 2.6.18 is supported. They patchset is big - 2.5Mb. No
need to haste with its committing to HH.org CVS ;-).
