[jornada] jornada 568 bricked?

hi

i finally found a serial cable to my jornada 568 and built a fancy power
supply cable to finally start doing some hacking on this nice pda.
uploaded the bootloader, everything went fine.
now when i start the pda (after removing the batteries), nothing
happens! bricked! (stupid me did not test the serial cable before, but i
checked it now and it looks fine)

so here's my question:
i don't have a jtag device at home, can someone help me out here? (i
live in switzerland, btw.) i would be very thankful for any help.
