Hi,

the 54x is a complete different CPU architecture (SH3), so if you want to
have linux running on it you have to start from scratch and can't use any
code from the 56x series (as this is ARM). You also can't use the hh.org
bootloader. You really need to start from nothing.

kind regards,
Alex

known that jornadas are able to run linux, but wasn't so very delighted
after hearing that developement for these devices are becoming less active,
due to iPaq's. I'd still like to have this device run something else than
'Daily' and other extremely "useful" applications, based on outlook and ie.

bootblaster seems to require some other version of Windows CE. 56x series
seems to be the most similar device to 54x series, so that's why I chose it.

56x doesn't seem to be SH3, right? And how about the display?
