Hi David,
The Jornada 56x is more compareable to some Ipaq (3850 I'd say). It has no
keyboard, weights only 180 gramms, has 32 MB flash memory and 32/64 MB of ram
depending on the model. You may want to check ebay for a good price, the best
model is of course the 567/568 with 64 MB of ram.
If you have a flash board for the 720 then it's also a very nice device to run
Linux. I don't have one yet, but I hope to get one soon. I will then
investigate and port kernel 2.6 to it and try to get it fully functional with
fullblown Opie support (wich will be not too much work I guess)
Just one other question for all people: Is there anyone interested in making
some .png (42x42) images of the jornada 56x buttons? This would be very cool.
Opie does at least know the device now as seen on
http://handhelds.org/scap/port.21346.png (David: this is a screenshot from
the jornada 56x which also shows the 56x in the lower left corner)
thank you and kind regards,
Alex
