Hi,
brightness control needs some tuning on the j56x, I'm currently very busy and
can't find much time to do this. If you want to have a go you're welcome.
The Jornada works fine on battery power, but do not put in a backup battery as
this is useless. Battery life is around 3-4 hours of continious use.
The console cannot be rotated, but you can remove the penguin if you compiling
your own kernel and remove the logo option. All fonts are readable on the
Jornada, you just need to set console to tty0 or something in order to get
some output.
I hope this helps,
cya
