[jornada] Lower part of Jornada 567 screen does not respond

Hello, all!
I have a problem - the bottom part of the screen of my beloved Jornada 567 does not respond to stylus taps. This makes it impossible for me to access the menu items that are on the toolbar. The non-responsive area is just 0.5" high and 1" wide and os located on the lower part of the screen.
You dont understand how frustrating and annoying it is when a device does not respond to stylus taps!
 Is it possible to repair my Jornada unit and maybe somebody can help me to resolve the issue?
I tried soft reset and hard reset and all HP advices but it still not responding. Unfortunately it is out of warranty and @ HP Care Ceneter they asked $199 for repair...
