Hi,
with my new version of bootblaster you should not brick the device when
flashing bootldr the fist time.
I do not recommend using the J568 as a standalone computer as it is still
suffering some bugs in Linux. Choosing and using apps is ok, but due to the
slow touchscreen response typing is still not so good... An external keyboard
should do well as long as there's a linux modules for it.
Be careful with WiFi as sound is not yet working. All other CF Cards will work
OK as long as there's a linux module for it. Swaping can be done without
rebooting and usually without scipts
