Vincent,
It sounds like one (or more) of the following might be the source
of the problem:
1) wires on the jtag interface are not making good contact
2) all the batteries (main and backup) have not been removed
3) power cycle the jornada (waiting 2-3 seconds after turning
off) before each couple of attempts. (This causes the processor to
reset into a known state.)
4) there is a small chance that there is something odd with
the bios settings for the printer port (although this should be
fixed in the version of software at:
ftp://handhelds.org/pub/hp/jornada/jflash.tgz
)
Please let me know if you still have problems and I can
reflash your Jornada with a programming jig that I have
here (I finally got my setup working again after giving away
several sets of probes to other groups inside HP).
