Congratulations!

I have had some problems in the past with terminal emulators
not sending characters unless DTR (data terminal ready) was high.
The terminal emulator code actually did an ioctl to check modem
control line status and then inhibited sending of characters (silently).

I doubt that minicom does this, but an easy way to test is to connect
pins 2 and 3 of the serial port (tx and rx data). Then type a character
and see if it appears.

Due to timing of initialization of the serial port, I usually have to hit
the space bar continuously, 1 time/second until I get the boot
prompt (or the 'booting wince' message comes out and I reset and
try again).

Please let me know if you have more problems.
