Roy,

Francois-Rene and I have swapped emails about the 820 already, so I am familiar with
his impressive stock of information. Alas, I am not a low level programmer in C yet. I
appreciate you pointing it out though.

List,

I should clarify, is anyone actively working on an 820 with the current kernel that is
bouncing around? Does anyone have a solution for those of us that are not aware of how to
flash our Jornadas(820s)? Currently I can get OpenBSD to come up with a boot loader from
Windows CE, but it bites the dust when trying to mount the root partition since there are
no PCMCIA bridge drivers in the kernel for the 820(my guess anyway). I would not have any
trouble shipping my machine to a kernel hacker who would do some work on this, but I would
want it back in good condition of course. I would also be interested in having some dialog
with any of the low level hardware C programmers out there, so that I might be able to start
working on this myself. I just have no idea where to start.

As for the other 820 owners out there, good to hear from you! I am thinking about starting
an 820 Linux project website. Would othere be interested in it, or donating time to help with
it?

Regards,
John P. Mitchell
