hi,
just for information (and perhaps joining me in my effort to get
intimate on to the jornada720) and only to the other users of a jornada
with flash rom (cant test it with hpcboot):
with some small modifications i got the actual cvs-kernel
(2.4.19-rmk6-pxa1-hh3) up and running here with functional power
managment(on/off button works and inizialise pcmcia and the serial
console at resume again) and functional pcmcia support (no lost
interrupts anymore)

bootldr (http://www.pin9.de/bootldr-2.19.28-j720.tgz)

got this from cvs and enabled pm in the config. did not changed
anyting. as allways flashing your bootldr can brick your jornada, so
dont blame me if something gets wrong, i dont know how to flash a
bricked jornada so i could not help in such a case (perhaps jamey can?)

kernelsource (http://www.pin9.de/source-2.4.19-rmk6-j720.tgz)

i did not program a single line for myself, just ripped older (and
partly working) cvs-tree kernels and throw everything together, so its
very dirty, perhaps not useful for any other plattform etc. it just
works fine here. be aware that i use (unlike the normal defined
multipart flash) a 2parted flash here so im not sure if this will work
for anyone with a multiparted flash without modification of my
modificated ./drivers/mtd/maps/sa1100-flash.c (in fact i dont think so)

kernelimage+modules (http://www.pin9.de/kernel720.tgz)

BEWARE this is the result of the kernelsource i mentioned before, this
will not work if your configuration is different from my configuration
(look at the flash part)

as you need some userspace programs too to get pm to work i will make a
jffs2-image later today (namely you need the userspace program
pm_helper and somehow this works not for me without a working x
enviroment) and post the url here.

i would be very happy to get bugreports/enhancments/feedback etc..

kye
