Hi List
Small steps at first but I'm now gathering speed with my 720 familiar linux
install, and considering embarking on the bootloader replacement stage (so
that I don't have to reconfigure my touch screen every time I battery remove
the damn machine!)
Looking at the handhelds org guide to doing this on the iPaq, there are
replacement backup versions of CE for the iPaqs that mean it can be
debricked should it all go wrong. Searching around HP's site there doesn't
appear to be the same for the 720.
So the questions are has anyone..
- done this bootloader install successfully?
- tried restoring CE using any of the iPaq versions of CE?
- worked out why running ipconfig crashes the 720?
- produced a PCMCIA card database for cardmgr?
- got a 3com pcmcia network or netgear 802.11b card working with either CE
or Linux?
Lots of questions I'm afraid (sorry Peter) and so any help much appreciated!
Cheers
Alex
