For those of us with the CE chips (i presume it doesn't work on the
Linux versions, but i'd be interrested to know if i'm wrong...) if you
reset the 720 and press 's' as it reboots you enter a little diagnostic
mode. One of the options is to test the EEPROM. What EEPROM is this? Can
we flash it to do something more productive? It's a shame the diagnostic
screen itsself doesn't have a little bootloader - (dreams) - But if it
was on the EEPROM (i realise it's a bit much to hope) then could a
bootloader be put in it's stead?
On another, slightly related point, those of you with CE running linux,
have you found a quick way to skip all those dialogue boxes CE throws at
you when you do a hard reset? It's very tedious selecting the country,
time, calibrating the pen, is there a quick way? Or do i just have to
learn to be more patient?
Cheers!
- Gav.
