I've got good news :)
Today I received a call from a nice lady of HP's customer department.
She made me an offer. I'll get my US Jornada 567 exchanged by a brand
new Spanish Jornada 568.
Even if I don't like that it is in Spanish, I really don't care anymore
because I will end puting Linux onto it.
And now my question. I'll get this new unit. Then, should I try
installing linux again? I know last time it got a brick it was my fault
becuase I use something not intended for my unit - I was reading the
changelog and saw support for the Jornada had been included, but I used
an old binary by error -. Or should I try to sell it and buy something
like a Sharp Zaurus?
Are any of the bootblasters (yes, to run under wince) tested and ready
to use without big risk - I know flashing always has its risks - on the
Jornada? Also how is the hardware support as of now? I mean the
touchscreen and power-saving mainly.
Have any of you used the Zaurus? How you like it? I love the Jornada's
hardware, but... you know, the penguin.
