Hi
Ive just bought a 720, primarily for use as an everyday CE handheld I
admit, but I am also quite a keen user of linux on ARM, and like the idea
of being able to boot into it when needed on the 720.
It would seem I am going to join the following of people trying to use
hpcboot to get into Linux from CE, and I know people are working hard on
this and dont want another newbie wanting help, so I will keep quiet and
bide my time till something is released.
But I have a question, presumably since CE uses RAM as a drive for storing
add on progs and users files this is wiped when Linux starts?? Or is this
not the case? And if it is indeed the case, partitioning a CF such that I
could install add ons to CE on the FAT side, and linux on the ext2 should
be feasible??
The lack of working Power Management in linux via hpcboot isnt too much of
a problem if I can dual boot in this fashion, as although not convenient I
could just boot linux, do what I want then reboot into CE?
As I said, Im not pestering, but am I barking up a totally wrong tree??
