The problem I see with this option is that someone would have to write
an entirely new bootloader that is a) small enough, b) capable of
booting from CF. This is quite a bit of work. With that in mind it's
probably better to stick to the approach used in the original HP
flashboards.

Having read the various Jornada pages on the handhelds.org site, as I
understand it it is not possible to suspend/resume Linux via the WinCE
bootloader. Is this a 100% confirmed fact? Has anyone tried
disassembling the WinCE bootloader, or getting hold of the original HP
engineers who wrote it?
