It can be easily (so they say) connected to various buses, EVEN LPT!
It has a linux driver.
It's a Cypress SL811HS.
It would ROCK to have it inside :D

I thought about removing the modem (no driver for it anyway, and no use
for modem for me because I'm going to use UMTS) and putting sl811hs,
it's companions and usb socket there.
Do you plan to include a megabyte range flash space on this board? Or
just place for a simple bootloader?
What would be the estimated cost of this board?
How about... 128MB or more RAM :)? We could use chips from old
PC100/PC133 DIMMs (the original rom board samsungs k4s281632b were used
on DIMMS too ;)).
What do you think about the idea of replacing mx23l6430 with flash on
original one? I am buying rom board solely for this purpose right now...
