[jornada] battery life on familiar

I've been thinking about trying linux on my jornada 728 that's currently collecting dust. But I was wondering if the battery problem while in suspend mode has/had been fixed yet (the status page mentions bad battery life while the jornada is sleeping)?

I was also wondering if there were any specific changes I should know about (having a 728 vs. a 720) when/if i try to install familiar on the jornada.
