Hello, all!
Well, the story is that I have made little headway on the Flashboards - until now. But before everyone starts rejoicing, I've still got a long way to go. I've started a new job in the last week. The Bad is that the new job is eating quite a bit of time because we have a 7-week hard deadline to meet on a product release.
However, The Good of that is that one of the guys here is a real hardware engineer (not just a hobbyist like myself). He said that he would help me make any need changes to the Flashboard gerber files to accomodate newer Flash and RAM parts, help with getting the flash programmed for the first time, and get me in touch with another guy that does excellent work in mounting parts to PCBs (MUCH better than I could EVER do...).
That leaves for me:
settling on what Flash and RAM parts to use,
finalizing the design,
finalizing the boot with the right parameters,
finding a source for the parts,
compiling and flashing the initial boot,
coordinating everything, and
testing what comes back.
I'll keep you posted.
Regards,
