Did you downloaded the fixed opie version from this page? I did several
instalations with it and it works out of the box. Battery status is
displayed using apm. What version of familiar did you use?

Hm, this is strange, but I can not check that, as I never had 728, only
720. Does anybody has idea where is the problem? Does linexec forces some
params to kernel? Did you try to put mem=64M at its command line?
