Hi All,

Please forgive me if these are answered elsewhere, I have googled for
info on this but there seems to be much out-of-date or conflicting
information out there...

I have a Jornada 720 with some compact flash cards. I do not have the
flash board which can be used to replace WinCE. I would like to get a
2.6 kernel running.

What is the best loader to use? I have seen that some people use the
NetBSD hpcboot.exe loader and that others use linexec.exe - are they
both able to boot 2.6 kernels? Any reasons for choosing one over the
other? Are there other loaders I have not seen?

Which kernel version should I be using? Can I take a kernel.org kernel
and build it or will I also need some patches? If I need patches, where
are they all to be found? What kernel versions will they apply to?

Assuming I get the kernel built, what hardware works and what does not?
I assume the WinModem won't work, but what about sound, touchscreen, etc?

Since I will also be building and playing with various applications, is
it possible to configure the Jornada to boot via TFTP with an NFS file
system? If not TFTP, is NFS possible anyway?

Sorry for posting so many questions all in one go!

Thanks!
Rich
