If we switch to forums I will probably never bother to check them unless
i've posted something and am hoping for a reponse. With email I get to
see all the posts when I download my email everyday. Forums get spammed
too.

Perhaps handhelds.org could improve their mailing list spam filtering?
Of the lists i'm on this one does see more spam than some of the others,
but I think the gmail spam filter is stoping the majority of it.Looking
back through my emails the last spam I had on this list was on the 27th
of October.
