1) Its bigger/heavier to carry than just a cable
2) I use my charger pack at home, and don't want to carry it to work
every day
3) A shorter cable is much easier to carry in a suit, rather than 2m+ of
cables wrapped for something that only needs less than 1m+

Might sound silly, but why not just use the charging cradle, or the
charger directly. Wherever there's a USB port, most likely there'll be
a power socket too ;)
