Quoting Valeriy E. Ushakov in a mail which was intended for this list
but never got through, so he sent it to me directly:

| I don't know about 720 (arm), but 680 (sh3) implements standby
| mode by powering down everything, putting memory into self-refresh
| mode, but before doing that it prefetches wakeup routine into the CPU
| cache and points VBR to that code. So when a wakeup interrupt comes
| the code in executed from the cache. That code turns memory on (the
| content has been preserved) and can then continue running from memory.
