no - the kernel fix is always necessary - otherwise the key is decoded as
0 using the table jornada720_normal_keymap at
drivers/input/touchscreen/jornada720_ts.c
therefore for other keyboards you could probably use my patch (if it
catches all missing keys) and fix whatever is wrong with loadkeys later
